Xiaomi launched its new budget phone,Redmi 4
Xiaomi has kept its promise by launching its new budget phone, the Redmi 4. The phone is the predecessor of Redmi 3S (and 3S Prime). It comes in three variants differing on the basis of ram (2GB/3GB/GB) and thereby the internal storage (16GB/32GB/64GB).The price has been kept lucrative to the customers and lies in the bracket of Rs. 6,999 to Rs. 10,999. It will be in the hands of the public from 23rd of may,2017 after 12 P.M. solely via Amazon.in and Mi.com.
The redmi 4 is being seen as the predecessor of the Xiaomi’s own product Redmi 3S which was one of the most sold out smartphone of the year 2016, as the company claimed. Redmi 4 comes in with a beautiful metal black body with curved glass top.
The product can also be seen in comparison with the undisputed king of smartphone industry,The samsung’s On 5 Pro. The Redmi 4 carries with itself the huge power delivering battery of 4,100 mAh which the On5 badly lies short by a difference of 1,500mAh. Moreover, the Redmi 4 provides a camera of 13MP as compared to that of the On 5 Pro’s 8 MP. However, the On 5 Pro wins the race of front camera (5 MP) by 1 MP lead.
Although the company has offered Android 7.0 (Nougat) preview (Beta version), for now the Redmi 4 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the MIUI 8.0 ROM. Other features being same like those of the On 5 Pro, the Redmi 4 is available in two better variants when the RAM and the internal storage are taken into consideration. Additional features like the fingerprint scanner and the IR blaster would have acted as a cherry on the top only if the F.M. would still have been there!
Xiaomi seems to be very hopeful with the launch of the Redmi 4 but the extent up to which it will stand on the public’s expectations would decide the final outcome.
