One plus 5T coming soon…?
- Will be powered by snapdragon 835 processor
- Expected to come in four color variants
- Will feature 5.5 inch-QHD display
One plus is all set to hit the markets with its new sensation ‘5’. An internal email leak which could be perceived as a publicity stunt breaks the information that the launch is on the cards. This purported internal email was published on Weibo, and if it is legit, the OnePlus 5 is set to launch on June 15, which is just two weeks from now.
The possibility of snapdragon 835 SoC is lurking on customers’ imagination, courtesy of the prior teasers launched by the company.
One plus is skipping the number four moniker and launching one plus 5T straight after one plus 3T, which is expected to don a dual vertical camera setup at the rear, a patterned back, a metal edge, and a Home Button at the front that presumably will house the fingerprint sensor.
Prior to the launch, company has introduced a referral programme which offers a $20 off towards the purchase of any accessory when they buy a OnePlus smartphone via the official store. Customers who share their referral link will get 100 reward points. The programme is not functional in India though.
Before the launch, company has ordered an immediate termination of distribution process of one plus 3T except the last few remaining stocks. However, it will continue the sale in Indian markets for particular variants.
In addition to snapdragon processor, one plus 5 is expected to feature 8GB RAM & 8GB ROM, along with a high definition display of 1440X2560 pixels. An android 7.1 running platform coupled with 23 megapixel camera and a trustworthy 4000mAh battery.
It would be interesting to see how one plus’s latest performs in the market given the ongoing fierce competition. The company has already set a high performance benchmark for itself and everyone is expecting that it lives up to it this time as well.
